All he could think about was just how much she resembled him and the rest of the family; there really wouldn't be any missing that they were all related, not with that level of haughtiness already mastered. The jury had been out for a bit there, but as Lyra got older, there was no doubt that the apple still hadn't fallen too far from the tree.

"Ah," Draco remarked then, as though hearing that Hagrid's words were more cynical and joking than genuine made perfect sense. Really, it did. There was still absolutely no love lost between the older Malfoy heir and the gameskeeper, after all, even after all those years. The same likely went for their father, the one who'd actually done the legwork to get Buckbeak executed, though it had never gone through; Lucius was, after all, the very same one who'd also made Hagrid's life hell. Apparently that hadn't ended just yet either.

Honestly, it was a source of amusement to Draco that Hagrid and Lyra got on. Not that he'd admit as much to her; she simply wouldn't get it.
