Lyra gave him a very specific sort of look, one that meant she would be sticking her tongue out at him were she the slightest bit less superior and refined. Yes, this apple surely hadn't fallen that far from the tree at all. Even for the ways she was not like what was expected from their family...at the same time she very much was.
