A WINNER IS YOU

Lyra gave him a very specific sort of look, one that meant she would be sticking her tongue out at him were she the slightest bit less superior and refined. Yes, this apple surely hadn't fallen that far from the tree at all. Even for the ways she was not like what was expected from their family...at the same time she very much was. She had still been raised by Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy, after all. So what else could one expect?

Even as she pulled her little faces at him however she didn't argue. It was true, he was older brother, and besides neither of their parents were here to be appealed to. Lyra was a good girl - of a sort - and she respected her elders.

Even when they were silly and annoying big brothers who put on ridiculous airs.

She took his hand again and nodded, wordlessly. Of course however that didn't last long.

"I suppose I should be a good aunt," she remarked, "and ask after my sister-in-law and my nephew as well." Though the truth was with very typical inherent childish self-centeredness Lyra thought and cared more about their parents than she did Draco's own little part of the family - even with them all under one roof they had their own spheres within the household. It was a rather large roof, after all. Such a thing was more possible than might at first seem likely.
